To kick off Children’s Hospice Week, we are delighted to open our doors to Shooting Star House, our hospice in Hampton!
This is a fantastic chance to explore our facilities, meet our incredible Family Support team, and learn about the specialist support we offer to families with a child or young person facing a life-limiting condition or who have been bereaved.
Shooting Star House is our Outreach, Therapies and Family Support Centre where families can access bereavement support, counselling, therapies, drop-in sessions, sibling groups, family activities and interactive play sessions, and meet with our team of family support workers. The work they do truly transforms the lives of the families we care for, and we would love for you to come and see the difference it makes first-hand.
Our commitment doesn’t end at Hampton’s gates. Our Guildford hospice, Christopher’s, is where our overnight care is provided, as well as a comprehensive range of therapies and activities. Though you won’t be visiting Christopher’s during our open day, we would be more than happy to chat about the brilliant work happening there with you during your visit.
We have two bookable slots available on Friday 13 June. Our first slot is from 10:00am-11:00am, and our second slot is from 11am-12 noon. These slots are designed to help manage the flow of visitors around the building and ensure we do not exceed capacity. However, you’re welcome to stay on after your time slot and enjoy refreshments, games and visiting our stalls until the hospice closes to the public at 1:30pm.
