I have an existing medical condition, can I still take part?
If you have an existing medical condition, you will need to sign a declaration form. Please reach out to us at events@shootingstar.org.uk, and we can issue you a form. If you have a medical condition that you are concerned about, then you should seek guidance from your GP.
Can I bring spectators?
Yes! We welcome you to bring friends and family to join you and support as you descend. Please note, we have been made aware of building works in the area, and this may impact spectators from having a clear view.
Are there weight restrictions to be able to partake?
There are no height or weight restrictions; however, the abseil company must ensure that the sit and chest harnesses fit properly. Below are the measurements:
Waist: 60-150cm / 24-49in
Legs: 50-90 cm / 20-35in
What happens if there is bad weather?
The abseil takes part in a highly sheltered location however, we will continue to monitor the weather on the lead up to the event and make all participants aware of any updates.
